Benelli 752S
2026 Benelli 752S: 754 cc, 76 hp twin-cylinder roadster, A2-convertible, 226 kg, €6,599. Full specs, press reviews and rivals.
At a glance
The Benelli 752S is a roadster powered by a 754 cc, 76 hp parallel twin that can be converted to 35 kW for the A2 licence; it is still in Benelli France's 2026 catalogue in Euro 5 form, with specifications unchanged since its 2019 launch. Listed at €6,599, it is on promotion at €5,999 in October 2026 while stocks last, with equipment rarely seen at this price: a 50 mm upside-down fork, radial Brembo calipers, a TFT dash and LED lighting. Reviewers, who tested it in 2019-2020, praise its styling, chassis and value, but criticise an engine lacking punch in the midrange, its 226 kg, a snatchy clutch and the lack of electronic aids beyond ABS.

Press ratings
A pleasant surprise: bold styling, finish and equipment, precise front end and powerful brakes; lacks midrange torque, rear shock that makes it pitch under hard riding, abrupt clutch and high weight.
Design, sound and front end praised, very sound chassis and excellent Brembo brakes; engine neutral below 6,500 rpm and sporty above, turning circle and weight need work, shock a little harsh over big bumps.
Pretty, good sound, comfortable position, balanced chassis and powerful Brembo brakes; engine lacks low-down punch, on/off clutch, almost no dash menus: not yet at the level of the MT-07 and SV650, but close.
Engine enjoyable at high revs, powerful Brembo brakes and endearing character, ideal for starting out on an A2 licence; unchanged since 2018, no traction control or cornering ABS, suspension that jolts over small urban bumps, dated dash.
Press synthesis
What the world’s press says
The 752S has not changed since its launch: all reviews cover the 2019 and 2020 versions, except 1000PS’s in 2024. No review of the 2026 model year exists. MCN, Moto.it, Moto Magazine, SoyMotero and 1000PS have tested it; no review from Le Repaire des Motards, Moto-Net or Moto Journal was found.
The 68/100 meta score is based on the only two numeric scores, given in 2020: 3/5 from MCN and 7.5/10 from Moto.it. These scores cover the Euro 4 version, whose specifications are identical to those of the 752S sold in 2026.
What reviewers like: successful styling, quality equipment for the price (50 mm upside-down fork, radial Brembo brakes, TFT dash, LED lighting), a precise front end, powerful brakes and a great sound. MCN gives it full marks for value, and Moto Magazine rates it on a par with some of its rivals.
What they criticise: an engine lacking punch at low and mid revs (MCN, Moto Magazine, 1000PS), high weight (Moto Magazine, SoyMotero), a basic rear shock (MCN, Moto Magazine, SoyMotero), a snatchy clutch (MCN, Moto.it, 1000PS, Moto Magazine), ABS that is intrusive on bumpy roads (Moto.it), the lack of electronic aids beyond ABS and an instrument panel short on information. In 2024, 1000PS noted that the bike, unchanged since 2018, has aged, but remains an endearing alternative for beginners.
Key quotes
"It’s a good bike, but not an outstanding one, and while it looks great, rides well and has a very high level of spec, the engine fails to excite and ultimately that is its downfall. It’s a good looking roadster with an iconic name that is excellent value for money but not the sporty game-changer we were hoping for."
"Roomy and comfortable even for tall riders, it has a smooth, linear engine with a nice sound. Carefully built, it gives a good riding feel on twisty roads. The clutch and the ABS response on bumpy surfaces could be improved."
"The Benelli 752 S is a pleasant surprise. Its overall performance seems on a par with some of its rivals, which our future group test against the Yamaha MT-07, for example, will confirm, the machine closest in terms of engine architecture, power, etc."
"Design, sound, image, character, personality and premium components feed this sporty naked bike, which brings back the flavour of do-it-all naked motorcycles while widening its range of action on the road."
"Still, you have to take your hat off to Benelli: although the 752 S lacks a certain polish here and there, overall it is no longer far behind the popular top dogs."
"A sympathetic model that unfortunately enjoys too little love and affection in the motorcycle community. For me, clearly a great alternative for all bikers with heart, beginners, and mechanics enthusiasts."

Our review
Which 752S in France?
Benelli France, whose importer is Moteo, sells a single version: the 752S E5, Euro 5 compliant (not Euro 5+). It makes 56 kW (76 hp) and can be converted to a 35 kW (47.6 hp) version for the A2 licence. Benelli France’s 2026 catalogue carries it over unchanged from the 2025 catalogue, in four colours: white, black, matt grey and green.
How much does it cost?
The manufacturer price is €6,599. As of 13 October 2026, Benelli France’s website shows it on promotion at €5,999, with the note “while stocks last”: the bike remains in the catalogue, but no Euro 5+ version has been announced. It sells for €7,490 in Italy. It is not part of the range of US importer Keeway America.
How good is the engine?
The 754 cc parallel twin (88 x 62 mm), with double overhead camshafts, 8 valves and liquid cooling, makes 76 hp (56 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 67 Nm at 6,500 rpm. In A2 form, it delivers 47.6 hp and 51 Nm. Fuel injection is controlled by a cable throttle: a single map, with no riding modes or traction control. The gearbox has six speeds and final drive is by chain. Moto.it reports a slipper-assisted clutch on downshifts, a feature Benelli does not mention. Benelli Italy and Benelli UK quote an indicative top speed of 190 km/h.
The engine divides reviewers. Moto.it finds it smooth, linear and great-sounding, and SoyMotero describes a two-faced character, neutral below 6,500 rpm and sporty above. MCN, however, finds it sluggish compared with the Yamaha MT-07 and BMW F 900 R, and 1000PS criticises its lack of low-down punch.
How does it ride?
The tubular steel trellis frame, reinforced by plates, carries a 50 mm upside-down fork, a Marzocchi according to the 2018 launch press release, and a linkless monoshock with adjustable preload. Benelli Portugal announced a fork adjustable for compression, rebound and preload in 2022. Benelli sources disagree on suspension travel: 125 mm front and 55 mm rear according to Benelli France, 130 and 60 mm according to Benelli Italy, 117 and 45 mm according to the manual. Braking relies on twin 320 mm semi-floating front discs gripped by radial monobloc four-piston Brembo calipers and a 260 mm rear disc; two-channel ABS is standard. Tyres are 17-inch 120/70 and 180/55, Pirelli Angel GTs according to Benelli Portugal.
At 226 kg kerb, the 752S is heavy for its class. Reviewers nonetheless praise its chassis (MCN), a precise front end (Moto.it, SoyMotero, Moto Magazine) and powerful brakes. The rear shock is the main reservation: too soft for MCN, harsh over big bumps for SoyMotero. Moto.it finds the ABS too intrusive on broken surfaces.
What equipment?
The colour TFT dash switches automatically between day and night display; 1000PS gives it a 4.3-inch size and very limited menus. Lighting is full LED. There is no quickshifter, cruise control or connectivity.
Fuel consumption and maintenance
Benelli France quotes 5.4 L/100 km (Euro 5 homologation) for the 56 kW version and 4.0 L/100 km for the 35 kW version; the manual, which carries over the Euro 4 data, gives 5.9 L/100 km. Moto.it recorded 17 km/l in its test, about 5.9 L/100 km, giving a range of nearly 245 km from the 14.5-litre tank. The manual specifies an oil change every 6,000 km or every year and a first valve clearance check at 25,000 km. Benelli France’s warranty is 3 years.
Who is it for?
The 752S suits riders who want a well-equipped mid-size roadster with bold styling at the price of an entry-level bike, particularly to start out on an A2 licence before switching to full power. The Yamaha MT-07, Kawasaki Z650 S and Honda CB750 Hornet are lighter and more expensive; the CFMoto 800NK is the only rival close in price.
Generations
Unveiled at EICMA 2018 and on sale from the second half of 2019, the 752S was made Euro 5 compliant in 2021 with unchanged figures, then restyled in late 2022 with new graphics and a grey colour option. The 802S and 902S sold in China are derived from it, but are not imported into France.
Recalls
No recall affects the 752S (Safety Gate, RappelConso, NHTSA).
